On the Beach (2026)

This EP (particularly the title track) grew out of some songs that were my Covid Lockdown sanity project (didn't everyone have one?), and developed into a new style of work, featuring increasing focus on Steve Williams' brilliant programming capabilities. Blue Sedona Moon came about because I found a photo of me sitting on a car bonnet in Arizona, painting Cathedral Rock, then found the painting itself. I had wanted to set Byron's Stanzas for Music to music - and it only took me fifty years. Talking of deferred cooperation, the EP closes with Whispering Souls, the first dual composition by Steve and I - it took a mere 20 years!
